Track Points for drivers and constructors: Hungarian grand prix 2022

Valtteri Bottas shooting a water pistol, saying "it's an alien ray gun, no more sausage legs for me"

A year on from his bowling ball destruction, Valtteri Bottas was the only retirement at this year's Hungarian grand prix. The reasons for his exit this time were far less dramatic. A problem with his fuel system. That's rubbish. He could at least have been kidnapped by aliens and returned to his cockpit with sausages for legs or something. He takes the spoils in Hungary alongside Ricciardo, who had a rotten race and therefore scooped the earliest exit and raceday special Track Points.

Williams and Alfa Romeo were the highest scoring constructors. But never mind that. Vettel! He's going! Sebastian Vettel has had an illustrious career. He came 7th in the drivers' standings in the 2021 F1 Losers League, and is currently 4th in the 2022 rankings. He's done other stuff in F1 too, can't remember. We salute you, Inspector Seb.

Read on for all the Track Points in Hungary.

WHAT'S NEXT?

We're now in the summer break in which all the F1 teams have to down tools and twiddle their thumbs until the next grand prix, which is in Belgium on August 28th. Have a look at the 2022 calendar.

We don't like to rest on our laurels or on our haunches or any other words we don't quite understand. Throughout August, we will release new Pitlane Punts: a nice refresh to get you addicted to gambling just in time for autumn.

We're likely to run a Fast Forecasts freebie day later in August. This means there will be a 24-hour period during which you can place a Forecast with zero points liability. We'll announce this some time in the middle of the month.

We have no automatic Boost Buttons lined up for Belgium, other than the Boosts currently running. The Netherlands a week later will be quite different, with 11 teams due to have their Buttons automatically pressed. Beat the Boost bots by bashing a Button now.
