Break Assist is a results tool designed to aid Losers Teams that aren't broken enough – whether they like it or not.
Depending on the way you look at it, it's either a way of tightening up the F1 Losers championship or an agent of chaos.
HOW BREAK ASSIST WORKS
Every time race results are published, Break Assist will intervene. The following incidents will be carried out by the Losers League:
- The team that scores last place will have an Ejector Seat automatically triggered. Their least scoring driver will be dumped and a replacement driver will be picked randomly by the League. (The replacement will not include 2021 grand prix winners and will abide by the Pit Garage Rule.)
- Another team randomly chosen from the bottom quarter of the scores will be forced to play a Pitlane Punt selected by the Losers League. The League will pay any stakes incurred.
- And another team randomly chosen from the bottom half of the scores will be forced to play a Fast Forecast selected by the Losers League. The League will cover any point losses incurred.
Losers Teams don't need to do anything: this will all happen automatically.
